Ingredients:
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch cake pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
